Having A Ball!!!

We bought Paige a ball pit for Christmas and Adam just recently got the others balls that we had out of storage. They needed to be cleaned so he threw them in the tub and washed them. Well, when I went to give Paige a bath I decided, why not? She had a blast playing and was not very happy when I wouldn't let her back in after she was dressed. The other pics are of her helping dad before we painted and in her dress up clothes that Aunt Karri brought her over.

Paige was such a joy at the boys' basketball games...just imagine the sarcasm in my voice. At Brysen's games she would run out on the court and try to take all the balls off of the ball rack. Everyone else thought it was cute, but she was a handful! Jake's games were in a bigger gym so it wasn't so bad. Brysen's last game she was being a nut. She keeps doing a cheese face when I take her picture. We have never taught her 'cheese' so I am not sure where it came from. I suspect it might be because of the flash.

Dishin' It Out!

Paige loves her dishes! She loves to cart them all over the house. Last night she was feeding Me and Adam some yummy imaginary food. It cracks me up that she has started this so early. She was carrying a lid around in her mouth last nightand making all kinds of goofy faces. She thought it was pretty funny to make us laugh....she's a hoot!

Holiday Hubub

Paige is doing so many cute things since my last post. We call her Godzilla or Ram-Paige sometimes. She is very strong willed, but so much fun at the same time. I feel like we are starting from scratch with a lot of things...she changes EVERYTHING! Time outs in our house are pretty much a joke. She sits by the boys when they are in trouble. If they don't make room for her on the time out bench she screams at them. I tried having them sit at the table, but she just climbs up there now. As you can see she thinks it's pretty funny. Gotta love the crazy hair and drool!

She is constantly hungry! I can't keep her tank full for anything. I gave her some carrots and set the rest on the table next to her. She wolfed them down and decided she needed more and didn't want to wait for mom to help.

Christmas was a lot funner this year. She got all kids of girly stuff. She plays with her play dishes, tea set and play food the most. She likes to tote her babies around as well. I think she will be a good combo of girly but not too prissy. Having two older brothers will help with that!

Paige insists on holding my hand all the time. Mostly when we are out in public and she might feel out of her element. If I try to let go she flops herself on the ground in a monstrous fit. When I offer my hand back the world is set right.
She is such a funny combination of fiercely independent and uncertainty.
She goes right up to people and will also just take off and wonder around. So the times that she is clinging to my leg or insisting on holding tight to my hand seems funny to me. Although it can make things difficult, I try to enjoy it while it lasts.
When it comes down to it, I love that she needs and wants me so close.

Monster Crush

Paige has never been into watching TV. Much to my dismay. Not that I want her plastered to it, but it can a great distraction when you need a few minutes.
I recently recorded Monsters Inc. and she LOVES it! It is so funny to see her watch it. She laughs and gets excited or just plain stares at the TV. She especially any scenes that include Boo.
Now I can unload the dishwasher without a little helper....thanks goodness!

All Bundled Up!

Here is Paige at the Real Salt Lake game. She was so layered up with clothes she could barely move. If she fell over she couldn't get back up. It was pretty funny. I forgot I was able to get these pictures before my camera died. She was so good besides getting tired at the end. I hope she likes sports because she's stuck with them just like me!

Fall Play

This was Paige's first experience playing in leaves. She had fun but she also didn't care for how scratchy they felt. Adam got the blower out and was blowing leaves by her, that's what the pics of her really excited are about. Ebony had to join in too. It was a fun day.

Apparently Paige is not hip to change. When we went to the cabin she had a hard time. She was connected to mine or Adam's legs a lot of the time and was even clingy to the boys. She had fun but she was not herself. When we got home Sunday she played and played with her toys and books and was back to her happy self. Thank goodness!

Rough Patch

This past week has been miserable for you baby girl. You have been cutting teeth, had a stomach bug, and you fell out of your crib. We took you to the doctor (our normal doc is on vacation so we had a sad replacement) the other night.

We are having some tests run to see if you caught a bug when we were swimming. Your liver is enlarged, but they said not to worry about it at this point, it is likely from the stomach problems you have been having.

I wish I could fast forward and get you passed all of this. Despite some pretty unhappy moments you are still my beautiful, remarkable girl.

We went swimming at our reunion. Paige has never been swimmong before and we weren't sure how she would like it. At her age the boys' lips would turn blue and the would shake uncontrollably. We were so happy to see that she LOVED it! She wasn't cold at all and loved puttin' around in her little car.

I took the kids to get an ice cream cone. Brysen didn't want his cone so I gave it to Paige. She acted like she hadn't eaten in days. I tried to take it from her to wipe her face and she panicked and dodged my grasp.
Later when we were sitting on the front lawn finishing our treats Paige was yelling at us for more because she had gobbled hers down.

This is her new thing.....she makes this face constantly...it's a crack up!

I thought it was time for Paige to learn to do stairs. Well, she took off and there was no need to teach her anything. The boys are so cute , they celebrate her milestones as much or even more than Adam and I do.

So Paige is crawling now. She started after we got home from Indy. She is already pulling herself up on things and letting go. It's fun to have her get around but a little hectic with trying to keep her out of stuff.
We have been very busy with yard work this week and Paige is cutting teeth and has an ear infection and wants Mom 24/7, so the house looks like a bomb went off. Paige appreciates the mess, I am sure of it, because there are more things for her to get into.

Paige is quite animated. She has been doing all sorts of funny things. She cringes a lot, among other things. When we had our BBQ Sunday, Adam was holding her out with one hand like she loves and he was lifting her up into our tree. She was making the funniest faces when the leaves would get her.

Paige is finally getting up on her knees. Not for very long, but it's still exciting to see. I have prayed so hard that she will take her time crawling or walking!
She has also started squeezing her hands and body and pulling the funnies face all at the same time. It reminds me of "Cornholio"!
She is really starting to become a Daddy's girl. I can see the transformation. I was gone a while today and was excited to see her when I got home. I was holding her and kissing her, and all she wanted to do was look at Daddy. He is so gaga over her, I love it!

Yummy Toes!

Tonight when we were feeding Paige she was crackin' us up! After every bite of food she would put her foot in her mouth. She was making a big mess, but it was pretty funny.
It's so fun to have her laugh and giggle. We were playing tonight and I had her laughing pretty hard. It's still amazing to me that however stressful things might be, hearing my children laugh, cures whatever may seem hard at the time.

Paige is doing so many cute things! At our Cinco de Mayo party we put her in Colin's swing. She lit up! She loved it! You can see in the picture she was pretty happy. I happened to catch her waving too.
You should see Colin with her. He loves Paige. He was trying to feed her at the party. Which of course she was more than happy to taste test. After a while I was worried that too much of the food might upset her stomach. Colin wasn't very keen on the idea of not getting to share his food. He was pretty persistent about it but he finally gave up after a while. He is so sweet with her!
Adam can balance Paige in one hand and hold her up straight out to his side. It is her favorite thing to do. She gets the biggest grin on her face. She is so confident she will balance on one foot like a flamingo. I love her sense of humor, she brings us so much happiness.

New Things

I have been trying to teach Paige some new things. We have been playing Patty Cake, Peek-A-Boo, and a few other things. When I clap when we are playing Patty Cake she can't stop blinking or flinching. It's so funny and cute! I have a hard time blinking if there is a loud or repetitive noise, and it looks like she does too. I love learning new things about her personality and who she is. Love you baby girl!

I love it when babies give kisses. It's usually followed by s stream of slobber, but it's so cute. Paige has been stingy on kisses for a while, especially with Dad because of his scratchy face. So, yesterday we worked on kisses. I would make an O with my mouth and put it on her cheek and make a noise similar to, "ooowwwaaaa". I had Paige giggling pretty good. She thought it was funny and wanted to do it too. So now she is on a kissing rampage. We are all a little bit slobbery but it's worth it for the kisses we get!

I love this hat. My grandpa use to wear hats just like this one, excluding the bow of course. I know grandpa would of loved seeing her in it! I can just see them in their hats playing in the dirt together in the garden. Miss you Grandpa!

Paige is waving goodbye! Although she is a little stubborn sometimes and doesn't want to. She is also rolling all over the house. We are going to have to get a gate soon. Today she rolled from the living room to the kitchen where some cheerios were on the floor. She was pretty happy with herself eating her snack. She will be crawling before we know it, and I will be scrambling to baby proof the house...YIKES!

Soccer Girl

Today both the boys has a soccer game. The weather was horrible. It was so windy our chairs were knocking over and garbage was flying everywhere. Paige fell asleep at Brysen's game. Then we came home so Jake could change clothes, and we were off again. Paige was front and center for Jake's game. Everyone gushes over her. It's pretty cute. Reggie, our old neighbor stole her for a while. He has 5 boys so he loves getting to hold Paige. It' a wonderful feeling when others, outside of your family, love your children.
She has been looking so big! I have had her in 12 month pants. I bought a cute jacket at Old Navy and she looks so much older than she is. She is growing so fast. I will have to get recent picture up soon. Love you baby girl!

Tonight we went and grabbed a few things from Lowe's and Sam's Club. When we got home Heidi called to see if I wanted to go on a walk. I grabbed Paige and Heidi grabbed Mallory and we were off. If you know Heidi, you know that she is in great shape, and....I am not! She was very nice and took it easy on me. I am not sure exactly how far we walked but I believe we walked over 2 miles in an hour. which is 2miles less than Heidi's normal walk.
Paige was so good the whole time. I thought for sure she was going to drift off to sleep right away, but she hung in and enjoyed the walk. I can't gush enough over what a sweet girl she is. She is almost always happy. When we were at IKEA today she was just happy to be there, and never fussed. OK I know she's not perfect, but I was so worried about having a girl. I know we have far to go, but I have heard how hard girls are and I guess I thought things would be tough from the get go! I know, I know ,talk to me in a year and we will see how I feel then! Love you baby girl...

Creating A Keepsake

I have decided to do a blog just on Paige. I'm sad to say that I have not made the time to do any journaling for her. So, I hope this will help me track her growth and milestones. I didn't want our family blog to be mostly about her,so I have decided this was a solution to my problem.
If you know Paige you can see what a sweet, happy girl she is. We feel so blessed to have her as a member of our family. Every one of us dotes on her. I think if someone were to spy in on us you would think we were quite silly.
The boys adore her. So far we have no jealousy issues. They love to play with her and are always loving on her.
Milestone: She is rolling all over the place and is trying to get up on her knees. She will be crawling before our trip. She loves being wherever we are. She doesn't like to be by herself. Which is no wonder considering she has our attention at the drop of a hat. Thankfully the last couple of nights she has only been up once or twice. Thank goodness!
